Apple unveils Arcade service to launch this fall with 100 exclusive games

Apple has announced a new subscription gaming service named Apple Arcade in its Showcase event in California. During the showcase, Product Marketing Manager N Thai took the stage to announce the new service, which has 100 unique games available only for Apple devices. Arcade games will be available for download, because the service is not based in the cloud and games are not streamed.

There is no shortage of mobile gaming market, as Newsweek said in 2018 that the app revenues worldwide were up to $ 92.1 billion. Newzoo predicts that app revenues will climb year-on-year, reaching a high level of $ 139.6 billion by 2021. IHS Markit's statistics report that the price of the iOS game market in 2018 was $ 33.5 billion. But the real kicker? 95 percent of that expenditure was on in-app purchase, with "premium games faster on marginalization."

Premium Games spend a very small percentage on the App Store at the App Store. And in the same service, Apple's crop cream may sound like a great idea for consumers, but it is not clear what the payment structure will provide for developers.
